Outpatient treatment refers to a level of care where clients participate in structured programs while continuing to live at home. Clients attend scheduled sessions and complete program requirements without staying at a facility.
IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program) is designed for individuals who are early in their recovery and need more structure, accountability, and frequent sessions.
SOP (Supportive Outpatient Program) is for individuals who have maintained progress for a period of time and need continued support through less frequent, structured sessions.
Your required program is typically determined by court, probation, or a referring agency. If you are unsure, you can contact Discovery and the team will guide you based on your situation.
Yes. All programs require registration and payment in advance to secure your spot.
Yes. Discovery offers a combination of in-person, online instructor-led, and self-paced programs depending on the service.
Yes. Select programs are offered in Spanish, including DWI Education, DWI Intervention, and certain outpatient services.
Yes. While many clients are court-mandated, Discovery also works with individuals who are voluntarily seeking support or beginning their sobriety journey.
All clients complete an intake process to determine program eligibility and service needs. You will also be informed of requirements, scheduling, fees, and completion expectations.
Attendance policies vary by program:
• DWI Education: No absences allowed
• DWI Intervention: 1 excused absence allowed, $20 fee
• IOP: 2 excused absences allowed, $30 fee per missed session
• SOP: 2 excused absences allowed, $30 fee per missed session
• T4C: No absences allowed
Clients should plan accordingly when scheduling their program.
Yes. Payment plans are available for treatment programs. A signed agreement and credit card authorization are required.
Yes. Upon successful completion of your program, you will receive the required documentation or certificate.
Aftercare provides continued support after completing your program. Services may include follow-up guidance through phone or email to help maintain progress.
Support groups provide additional guidance and accountability during recovery. These may be recommended as part of your program or ongoing support plan.
Yes. Individuals with an LCDC-CI license can inquire about opportunities to gain required hours through Discovery’s Clinical Training Institute.
