Barbara Holguin
Founder, Owner, Director of Research
Barbara Holguin is the founder of Discovery Alcohol & Drug Education Program and the driving force behind its vision. With over 10 years of experience in the probation and parole system and extensive work within the criminal courts, she recognized the need for a program that brings education, treatment, and support together in one place.
Since 2016, Barbara has been building Discovery into a trusted resource where professionals, educators, and counselors collaborate to support individuals through every stage of the process.

Yolanda holds a degree in mental health and substance abuse from San Jacinto College. She works closely with Spanish-speaking clients, providing both instruction and counseling. After completing her internship with Discovery, she joined the team to continue supporting clients through education and recovery.

With over 11 years of experience in substance abuse treatment, Melinda specializes in working with the Spanish-speaking community. She focuses on supporting court-mandated clients and brings both experience and dedication to her role as Program Manager.

Andrew is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor Intern with three years of experience in chemical dependency treatment. He works with clients in both IOP and SOP programs, providing support throughout their recovery process. Andrew brings empathy, patience, and a strong commitment to helping clients move forward.
Peer Support
Specialist
Brandon is a U.S. Army veteran and certified Mental Health and Recovery Peer Support Specialist. He brings both lived experience and professional training to his work, supporting individuals through recovery and personal transition. With a background in mentoring and leadership, Brandon is passionate about helping others build stability, find purpose, and move forward beyond addiction and trauma.
Recovery Peer Support Specialist
Chevas Rainer was certified as an RSPS in April 2022. She lives in the Clear Lake area with her husband and twin children. Chevas is eager to encourage her clients in their sobriety journey with the tools she hails from her own recovery. She is active in the recovery community and provides Discovery clients individual aftercare support.
